Day 51 to the Southpole

Today we’ve been living life inside a ping-pong ball, at the bottom of a glass of milk, wandering around in a soup of white. The plateau is probably very beautiful here, but we haven’t seen a glimpse of it. THANKFULLY! It’s completely flat up here, so we can just charge ahead blindly and get neck cramps from staring straight down at the compass.

We’re still enjoying the trip way too much, doing long days, and we’ve now reached 89 degrees! That’s a big deal!! Or rather — we stopped a few hundred meters before the line, because at 89 degrees you have to carry all your bodily waste all the way to the South Pole, and this way we avoid having to carry an extra day’s worth! 😂🙌 Very pleased with our clever idea 💡

111 km left to the South Pole — let’s go, last degree!!
