Day 49 to the Southpole

We started the year 2026 with high spirits and strong winds — the perfect combination! The wind made it very cold to go to the bathroom, and as a result, “tent reluctance” hit us hard. That’s a term we’ve invented for when it’s so warm and cozy inside the sleeping bag and absolutely not outside. But still, we got up and trudged on!

It turned into a great day with a few clouds and lots of blue sky. A fantastic start to 2026, if I may say so myself 🙌☀️
