And just like that, Christmas is over and everyday life is back in full force. The Christmas break is short here in Antarctica. We had brilliant conditions — sunshine and blue skies. We moved at a great pace today; I think yesterday’s gingerbread cookies helped!

We climbed a lot today and also went through some sastrugi. We’re approaching 87 degrees, feared and notorious for its sastrugi ❄️
