Day 35 to the Southpole

Today we climbed the so-called “monster hill” — a slope you can see from a looong distance before you reach it. It looks like the Great Wall of China on steroids: enormous and immovable. But as you get closer, it slowly but surely flattens out. It’s steep, but not steep in the way you think of a steep hill back home.
We made it up in the end, and that was today’s victory! Very pleased with our own effort 🏔️
Still whiteout and fresh snow, but after all, it is Christmas — so it would only be right for it to snow a little. We hear Oslo isn’t quite as lucky as we are 😂
