Today has been a good day overall, but we were both a bit low on “puff,” as we call it. We climbed about 100 meters of elevation, so you could say it was an uphill kind of day — but what really made it tough was the sheet-ice surface over fairly large sastrugi. That just makes skiing difficult in general.

Still, we kept going for 8 hours before crawling into our sleeping bags and enjoying some good food and hot cocoa after the day was done.

By the way, Emma won at Idiot the other day, so Mom is once again the biggest idiot in the tent — that needed to be mentioned ☀️
